Centennial Commons is phase one of The Fairmount Park Conservancy and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation’s project, Parkside Edge. Centennial Commons is to act as a “front porch” connecting residents of West Philadelphia to Fairmount Park. It features swings and sitting areas nestled between a half mile of rain gardens that will keep over 1.3 million gallons of stormwater runoff out of our waterways every year. Scungio Borst serves as the construction manager and is responsible for oversight during the pre-construction, bid and construction phases.
