November 15th, 2018
Growing up in Lakewood, NJ, Santos Espinosa discovered his love for building while working at his father’s cabinet making business. Every day after school he assisted his father in the day-to-day, design, construction, and installation of cabinets. He says that it was the sense of accomplishment from completing a project that lead him to study Architecture and Construction Management at Philadelphia University.
Graduating four years ago with a bachelor’s degree in construction management, Santos first began his career at Scungio Borst & Associates as a project engineer. Bringing initiative and a knack for problem-solving skills, he quickly was promoted to an assistant project manager. “I’ve now worked with Santos on a few projects and am so impressed with how quickly he learns. He has great organizational skills, a great eye for detail and always has a desire to learn more” says senior superintendent, John Genther.
Santos has worked on several SBA projects, with his favorite being RS Energy, an office fit out in Conshohocken, PA. “RS Energy was the first project where I was hands-on in the field and problem-solving. I loved it.” also adding, “Scungio Borst has given me so much opportunity to grow and further my career. They are a great company to work for and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me here.”
Santos currently lives in East Falls, PA with his wife Melanie. In his free time, you can find Santos trying a new Philadelphia restaurant, watching old movies, or playing basketball in the park.
