Scungio Borst Team Meets NAWIC Campers

This past week, several Scungio Borst employees, alongside NERD Street Gamers, met with NAWIC (National Association for Women in Construction) and MyWIC Campers to discuss careers in construction. The presentation consisted of a project tour, a company introduction, and an in-depth discussion on different career paths that campers can take as women in construction. Speakers included Heather Craig, Director of Business Development, Dayna Abbott, Marketing Manager, Mady Price, Project Engineer, and Jesse Thompson, Senior Project Manager.

NAWIC is an association for women employed in the construction industry and helps to advance the causes of all women in construction from tradeswomen to business owners. NAWIC’s goals are achieved through a variety of member services – both professionally and personally. MyWIC Camp is a free summer camp for girls in grades 7 through 12. The camp is designed to challenge middle and high school girls to discover the many opportunities available in the exciting and rewarding field of construction. Girls learn about various construction trades and receive safety training.

Scungio Borst would like to like to formally congratulate this year’s MyWIC Campers on their graduation from the program! Congrats girls, you can do anything you put your mind to!
